The conference on energy policy organized in Islamabad brought together policy makers from the energy, health & environment, and transportation sectors from each of the SAARC member countries. The Conference reviewed the inter-sectoral implications of policy developments on the energy sector. It suggested means and mechanisms to meet respective goals of SAARC Member States with as little as possible impact on the energy demand, efficiency, conservation etc.
