The activity was initially planned on 9-11 August 2017. SEC has requested Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India for nominating SAARC Disaster Manager Centre, Interim Unit (SDMC-IU) as the collaborating organization. In spite of efforts by the SEC, directly with MEA as well as through SAARC Secretariat, MEA has not communicated the local collaborating organization/focal person. Meanwhile, SEC has received three nominations i.e. from Member States Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The activity has been twice rescheduled to 20-22 September and finally to 6-8 December 2017.
