The workshop emphasized and encouraged women of SAARC Member States to adopt household energy efficiency and energy conservation practices. The main recommendations of the workshop are: (a) Networking among women of the region and strengthening linkages; (b) Increase awarenessthrough print & electronic media; (c) Enhance the participation of women within energy sector; (d) School curriculum development to reflect EE and gender connections;
(e) A regional coordination of household EE efforts; (f) Promote gender friendly environments in utility organizations; and (g) Possible adaptation of “Energy Clinic” (EMC, India) type models by SAARC Member States.
