Molasses-based Distillery and Ethanol Plants have excellent potential in North Indian States (Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Bihar), considering the target set by Govt. of India and these States for blending of ethanol into petroleum fuel. Further, with recent and expected increase in sugarcane production (yield per hectare) and recovery in these States, the availability of raw materials for existing or new distilleries is not expected to pose any problem.
In addition, Spent Wash-fired Incineration Boiler Technology has evolved through extensive R&D and successful installations, to convert Distillery Waste to Energy, that not only mandates “Zero Liquid Discharge Regulatory Compliance” but also helps in meeting the entire Steam and Power Demand of distilleries in a most economical and efficient way.
With the above background for disseminating information and sharing experiences to promote these projects on a fast-track mode, Cogen India is pleased to announce this Business Meet for Promotion of Distillery/Ethanol Projects along with Incineration Boiler-based Captive Cogen Power Plants in North India, on March 15, 2018 at Hotel Golden Tulip, Lucknow.
This Business Meet is being organized by the Cogeneration Association of India in association with National Sugar Institute (NSI), Kanpur and All India Distillers Association (AIDA), New Delhi.
The Program will cover issues relating to potential, policy, regulatory, financing, technology and O&M updates for Distillery/Ethanol Plants as well as associated Incineration Boiler-based Captive Cogen Power Plants.
