Webinar on “Cyber Security Training and Auditing for Smart Grid” was organized by the SAARC Energy Centre (SEC), Islamabad, Pakistan, on 30th June, 2026.
The webinar highlighted the rapid pace of digitalization across the global energy sector and the significant opportunities it offers for improving the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of power systems. At the same time, it underscored that increasing digital connectivity has introduced substantial cybersecurity risks, posing serious challenges to energy security through growing cyber threats.
The webinar further emphasized the importance of establishing robust cybersecurity policies, regulatory frameworks, and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the resilience of smart grids
