SAARC Energy Centre, Islamabad had successfully organized a Dissemination Webinar on “Review of Feasibility Study of Karnali Chissapani Hydro Power Project (10,800 MW) for Defining the Way Forward to Materialize its Development as a Regional Hydro Power Project” on Tuesday, 8 May 2018.
In year 2017, SEC conducted a study for the review of the feasibility studies of Karnali Chissapani Hydro Power Project of 10,800 MW, in Nepal; to define the terms of reference for updating the existing feasibility study. The study outcome, apart from other aspects, includes the way forward to undertake the project as a regional power project benefitting multiple Member States. The objective of this webinar was to disseminate the findings and recommendations of the study report among the stakeholders for adding value and making consensus of the terms of reference for updating the existing feasibility study.
It was attended by delegates from Government departments, research organizations, academia, associated industry and entrepreneur’s etc. specially from South Asia.
