SAARC Energy Center conducted this webinar on 21st October 2024 to raise the awareness among the people of South Asia about the use of solar irrigation pumps to sustainably enhance crop productivity. This webinar featured lectures, presentations, and case studies from regional and international Solar Irrigation Pump experts. The webinar was attended by professionals and practitioners of energy sectors from various organization including public sector institution, electric utilities, academia, private sector, and other stakeholders within and outside SAARC region. The webinar discussed in details the deployment status, benefits and opportunities, and challenges of both standalone and grid-connected solar irrigation pumps.
