Webinar on “Energy Audit of Residential and Commercial Buildings”

Webinar on “Energy Audit of Residential and Commercial Buildings”

Buildings are one of the largest energy-consumers that account for nearly one-third of global energy use. The first step of energy saving in buildings is to undertake an energy audit. Energy Audit is the key to a systematic approach for decision-making in the areas of energy efficiency and conservation. An energy audit helps to determine how much energy a building uses, where it is losing energy, and which problem areas and fixes should be prioritized to make the building more efficient and comfortable.

To discuss energy audit techniques and its usefulness in building sector, international trends, and barriers in implementation; SAARC Energy Centre, Islamabad SEC under its thematic area “Programme to Minimize Oil Imports through Improvements in Energy Efficiency and Fuel Substitution” (PROMO), has successfully conducted a Webinar on “Energy Audit of Residential and Commercial Buildings” on Monday, 16th April 2021.

The webinar was attended by officials from relevant Government departments of SAARC Member States. Research organizations, academia, associated industry, and entrepreneurs were also present in the webinar.
